UNITED KINGDOM, EUROPEAN (DIS)UNION, CONFIRMATION OF PROPHECY
The European dream finally took shape in 1993. France and Germany pulled the union and a little bit more; others countries had joined. Over the years, new members have joined. The dream seemed something real. It just seemed because two decades later began to disintegrate. The UK decides to leave politically and economicly the brotherhood. In a referendum, the population has decided to leave European Union that it had always been disunited. Just look at the financial and political problems to detect that the European Union was disunited. Portugal, Spain, Greece had passed a hard time. Lately, no one agrees on the issue of Syrian and other regions of the world immigrants. The headlines speak only of matters that show the Disunion European doesn’t solve. Thus, the UK population decides to out. And, according to the newspaper there, the UK will become Desunited Kingdom. Scotland has just raised the idea of independence again. All this disunion was anticipated many centuries ago. Daniel, the prophet of the Old Testament, politically experienced, God-fearing, anticipated everything.
It is true that we live in a secularized world. Most no longer gives ear and no credit to what the Bible prophecy says. Biblical morality is being relativized. It's all adjustable. They distort all what the Bible says. Moreover, according to the secularized Christians, the Bible must change. See how bad is! The Bible says, ‘the Christian must change to build a relationship with God’. The shame is not the world be secularized, but believers secularize themselves and impose on others who choose to be faithful to biblical original idea. When happen prophetic confirmations like this, the world and the pseudo-believers have a chance to revise their concepts against the God’s Word.
Daniel was able to interpret the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar. In the interpretation, Daniel does a review of world history since from his time. The statue of gold and other metals is a narrative available to citizens of the world of all ages. The years 600 A.C. until to this our Day, everyone could live with an idea of how would be the story. If you take your Bible right now and read the chapter two of Daniel, surely you will better understand what I'm saying.
The statue was made up of four metals and each one represented kingdom would play a global leadership. And we confirm this in the overall story. Gold represented the kingdom of Babylon, silver represented the kingdom of Medo-Persia, bronze represented the kingdom of Greece, iron represented the kingdom of Rome; and the iron and clay represented the divided kingdom of the disintegrated Roman Empire. When men try to join what was Rome, they are affronting the Word of God. Charlemagne, Napoleon, Hitler and others tried to join this territory; but no one could.
The man is corrupt and no kingdom proposed by him will succeed. The Bible has prophesied a kingdom that Jesus proposed: "Blessed are the poors in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Mt 5: 3); "If we persevere, also we will reign with him; if we deny Him, He also will deny us"(2 Tim 2:12); "The kingdom of the world has become of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever" (Rev. 11:15). This proposal is very challenged, ridiculed, satirized... For now, it is only a proposal because it has not reached concrete hour yet. Despite being rejected and ridiculed by a secularized world; the kingdom of Jesus continues to gain membership and increasingly gets bigger. Even the world being against; the kingdom of Jesus will come true. Who that believes in it will participate on it.
It is better to believe in Jesus and His promises, to believe in corrupted and heartless men as they are. The promises of Jesus are much better. The evidences that Jesus gives are much more convincing. So I prefer Jesus! You could, at least, honestly consider the promises of Jesus. The Kingdom of Jesus ever, ever, will start without rival.
